  1. I remember buying all of his albums and listening to them one after another. This song was very important to me because I saw the Calypso when it came up the Mississippi River to do research on the river catfish.

  2. It's like were living the 60s and 70s all over again…the environment is in peril and we are on the brink of nuclear war…really wish John were here. 🙁 Younger generations don't even know his music. 🙁

  3. To sail on a dream on a crystal clear ocean
To ride on the crest of a wild raging storm
To work in the service of life and living
In search of the answers to the questions unknown
To be part of the movement and part of the growing
    Part of beginning to understand

Aye Calypso the places you've been to
The things that you've shown us
    The stories you tell
Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit
The men who have served you so long and so well

Like the dolphin who guides you, you bring us beside you
To light up the darkness and show us the way
For though we are strangers in your silent world
To live on the land we must learn from the sea
To be true as the tide and free as a wind swell
Joyful and loving in letting it be

Aye Calypso the places you've been to
The things that you've shown us
    The stories you tell
Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit
The men who have served you so long and so well

Aye Calypso the places you've been to
The things that you've shown us
    The stories you tell
Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit
The men who have served you so long and so well

  4. ג'ון דנבר ז"ל, זמר ויוצר ענק ניספה בתאונת מטוס בדרך להופעה.ניזכור את הזמר הגדול ואת כל הלהיטים הניפלאים שלו.

  5. "You know John, you're not much to look at, but as soon as you start singing people tend to forget that."

  6. Lots of comments about John Denver, but let's not also forget Jacques Cousteau about whom this song was written.
